Will Boom Beach be released on Android, and when? Yes! There is no timeline for the Android release, yet, but it won’t be long after the iOS release.
Boom Beach will only support iOS 7.0 and up. It's a decision we've already made. Actually, we cannot even change the version requirement after the initial version has been published in the App Store.
As you probably know, iOS 7 dropped support for some older devices with weaker performance. Making the minimum requirement iOS 7 allows us to better optimize the game because of a smaller set of supported devices. We can push the game further technically without having to make compromises for older hardware. We believe this will pay off in the years to come!
How do I save my base? Although a Boom Beach village lives on the server, the ability to control/access your village lives on files on your device. If you created a village, and are not attached to GC, and your device is: Broken, lost, stolen, or reset - YOU LOSE THE ABILITY TO PLAY YOUR VILLAGE. If you have attached to Gamecenter, you can recover access to your village after any of the above scenarios, simply by logging back into your GC and launching Boom Beach. Will there be a social aspect to the game? There is no official plan right now. Clan/Alliance type aspects have been suggested many times here on the forums. Can we have more builders? No. The economy, upgrade costs, and upgrade times are all based on a “upgrade/build one thing at a time” system. This provides for a more strategic upgrade path. You must make a decision on what is most important to your base at the time. While this can be a bit frustrating at the start of the game, with so many things that need to be upgraded, the upgrade times become longer as you progress and you may find you actually prefer only having a single upgrade to do at a time!
I have an issue, how do I contact Customer Support? While in the Boom Beach app, you can access the in-game FAQ via Settings (the two cogs), then click Help. Here you will find answers to many of your questions. If after looking through the in-game FAQ, you still have an unanswered issue you can click on Contact Us in the upper right corner. Describe your issue as best as possible, and Supercell will be in contact with you.
If you can't load the game follow these steps:
Double tap the home-button on your device
Swipe all application previews upwards until there is none left
Reboot your device (To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.)
Launch Boom Beach and try again
If this doesn't work make sure you have the latest version of iOS installed on your device! Also try to disable your WiFi and use 3G instead. If your device doesn't have 3G, please try to use another WiFi hotspot and see if it works. Some WiFi hotspots have very strict firewall settings on, which causes problems with games and apps which need the internet in order to work.
